Wander Full Soul

Our Story

Hi, I'm Lex, maker and creator of Wander Full Soul. First, I want to thank you for visiting, I really appreciate your interest in how Wander Full Soul came to be. I am a trained metalsmith, and yoga/meditation student and teacher. It has been years that these two parts of my existence have been forging together to meet at a point of synergy.

That happened when I was pregnant with sweet Lil Mae Mae. She inspires me to no end, and her soul is so Wander Full. I have her to thank for collaborating with me while we shared a 'home'.

Self-awareness, self-healing, and ANXIETY are major themes in my art work. In search of a holistic approach to anxiety relief I tried yoga, in my early 20's. Yoga changed my life! It offered so much more than I could have ever imagined. Meditation came later, and for me, it is where deep healing and connection takes place.

To the mamas out there, I have to be honest. Raising a little tot is rewarding, beautiful, and joyful. But also challenging, messy, and humbling. Keeping a calm state, especially with changing hormones is nearly impossible! My yoga and meditation practice look different and feel different these days. They take on a new meaning. I allowed reflection to intervene, and I realized that the new version of me, as a mama, needed some TLC. Mindfulness is so important because it helps me be a better mom. This is where the Hum Bowls come in. They are there to strike a hum and serve as a moment, a check-in, a re-group, and reminder for me. They carve out a few moments to take some intentional inhales and exhales. The other bonus is that Mae loves the lullaby-ish sounds produced. I have a beautiful lil being! If only for a few breaths throughout the day or a ten minute sit down (which doesn’t happen often) I show up for us.

My inspiration comes from wanting to help others. Making things is one constant in my life. It is one of the ways I express gratitude and displays of love. If I can offer something I made that can help someone, my heart space jumps for joy.

When I make something that someone else can use, I feel we have an everlasting connection in this crazy, yet beautiful world. I create objects that remind us that we are the instrument to our own happiness. The handmade allows imperfections to be what make it imperfect and unique, kind of like all of us.

I am honored and humbled that Hum Bowls could play a role in the journey to YOU!

Much Gratitude to you, and I look forward to hearing your stories. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to reach out.

May all beings live happy and free.
Namaste.
